Session Rewind in Slack

Session Rewind is already the simplest and most affordable way to understand your users' behavior, with pixel-perfect playback of their experiences, heatmaps, and more.

Along with email notifications, Session Rewind now offers notifications for sessions which match your saved filters right within Slack!

Getting started is straightforward.

Installation

1. Navigate to your settings page by clicking the cog icon in the top right.
2. Select Notifications from the menu on the left.
3. In the section for Slack, click "Connect"
4. You'll be redirected to Slack to confirm installation of the Session Rewind app to your Slack workspace.
5. Session Rewind is now configured to post messages to your Slack channels! Please note that we do not have access to read messages posted in your workspace.

Configuration

Now that you've installed our app for Slack you can configure any Saved Filter to post to Slack:

1. Navigate to the Saved section within Session Rewind
2. Ensure you're on the default tab, Filters
3. For each filter you'd like notifications for in Slack, click Manage Notifications
4. In the modal popup, enable the checkbox for Notify slack, then select the channel you'd like the notifications to be sent to, along with the frequency. If you select when the session is complete Session Rewind will send a notification about matching sessions at most every five minutes. If you select daily Session Rewind will send a single notification for the filter at the same time every day.
